VSI, LLC, formerly Vandersteen & Sons, began lock & key operations in 1948, offering its expertise services in the locksmith industry.

In 1986, Frank Vandersteen’s youngest son Tom bought the company and oversaw a period of tremendous growth, in large part due to a dramatically changing customer base. By 2006, over 99% of the organization’s revenue was generated from business-to-business related (transportation market segments) lock & key opportunities.

In an attempt to maintain continuity and further the company’s success Tom sold a majority of Vandersteen & Sons to the management team in 2005. From that point forward, Vandersteen & Sons officially became VSI, LLC. In an effort to maintain customer continuity, our domain name has remained vansons.com.
